Liz Bayley MSc MCSP HCPC (Chartered Physiotherapist)
Before completing her Masters in Physiotherapy, Liz was a professional dancer for 15 years, performing all over the world, including a year in Paris at ‘The Moulin Rouge’. She then specialised in Latin, Ballroom and Argentine Tango, and worked extensively in London, just missing out on a spot as one of the professionals on ‘Strictly’ in 2008. Her years as a dancer sparked her interest in sports injuries and she obtained an Advanced Diploma in sports therapy in 2009. Liz then worked as a sports therapist in the West End on shows such as Wicked, The Wizard of Oz, Singing in the Rain, Shrek, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Chicago, Matilda and Jersey Boys.
Liz has trained in neurology, respiratory, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Her first degree in psychology compliments her special interest in pain. She has spent time working with the Royal Ballet school at White Lodge, the Birmingham Royal Ballet, and with the Matthew Bourne company. Liz is trained in DMA (Dance Medicine Australia) Clinical Pilates and uses her substantial grounding in movement, teaching, and sports massage to enhance her rehabilitation programmes. She also works at a private sports injury and musculoskeletal clinic in Ascot. Liz is honoured to have been connected with the MTA since 2012 and very happy to be back after having her little boy, Miles in 2018.
